AMIQUS @DEVELOP:BRIGHTON – WHAT’VE GOT IN STORE
Boss Lady
- Meet the team
Develop:Brighton is already upon us, and the Amiqus team is looking forward to once again meeting with friends and peers. We’re also delighted to be involved in the Conference programme – and we’re honoured to be shortlisted in the Develop:StarAwards too.
In case you haven’t done so yet, you can register for a free Expo pass for the event here. As the name suggests, this pass will give you the opportunity to visit the expo area, as well as the chance to attend some of the Conference roundtable sessions. Here’s what we have in store during the event…
Tuesday, July 9th, 5 - 5.45pm
Men As Allies: Open Your Eyes & Become An Agent of Change Roundtable
This event is aimed at opening the eyes of men working in the industry to the huge challenges and obstacles facing women, and equipping them with the tools and understanding they need to become effective allies, driving positive change within the industry. Our Principal Recruiter Alan Dixon will be taking part in the roundtable, which is being hosted by Women in Games. The session will be led by CEO Marie-Claire Isaaman and our Co-Director and Director of Ambassadors Gemma Johnson-Brown, in conversation with:
- Alan Dixon, Amiqus
- Jake Montanarini, Norwich University of the Arts
- Joe Binnion, Keywords Studios
- John Ozimek, Big Games Machine
This event is free to attend. Come along and find out how the industry can better support women by becoming allies.
Wednesday, July 10th, 4 - 4.45pm
No More Boom and Bust: How to Empower Inclusive, Sustainable Businesses Roundtable
The industry has faced a rough climate over the last year with layoffs and restructuring. Some have suggested one of the key causes could be due to the ‘boom and bust’ nature of the games business. Our Business Manager Liz Prince will take part in this roundtable which will look at business sustainability and embedding values of EDI as strategic components for a company, especially in periods of planning and analysis. The participants include:
- Dom Shaw, Ukie
- Liz Prince, Amiqus
- Gina Jackson, Pitchify.games
- Sarah Brewster, Fresh Seed
This event is also free to attend. Join us and debate the value of investing in people and businesses today.
We’ll also be attending some of the great networking events throughout the course of Develop:Brighton. You can find out more about them here.
